Vulfpeck
What sort of music
video is it? (eg: Performance/narrative/mixed approach)
A mixture of performance and shots that reflect the lyrics
of the music. Similar aesthetic to vulfpecks music videos. Basic, to the point,
showing the band members performing In studio (usually a basement), for the
performance side.
Tell me more about
your video and why it will work well for this song
The song is upbeat so the video will be fast paced with shots that represent what the lyrics are saying.
The lyrics are about a man who lives on his own in a town, making him the mayor. I think that it symbolises the effect of being alone and depressed. It can feel like you're alone and like you don't belong.
What kinds of genre
conventions would we expect to see? What existing music videos or media texts will
you be taking your inspiration from?
I intend to make the video in a 70’s and 80’s funk style.
Similar to Vulfpecks music videos, namely “Dean town” and “Cory Wong” for the
performance side of the video.
How will your music

for your band/artist/music video? What do they like, do? What sort of
attitudes, values and beliefs might they have and how will your video reflect

equipment, personnel and locations you are going to need to create this
I will most likely use the music rooms at school as
instruments are needed for the performance in the video
I will most likely be recording the video on my phone as I
have a decent camera and it is much more convenient than using a dslr all the
time, it also allows me to be spontaneous with my footage and record anywhere I
see fit.

organisational tasks will you do to make sure you can achieve this?
Seek permission to use certain rooms and parts of the school
as a lot of areas are restricted due to year group bubble. Fortunately, the
music department is part of the sixth from bubble.
What issues or
challenges do you predict facing when making this video?
Ensure no covid rules are broken regarding social distancing
and mask wearing
How will your website
